Following the directions issued by the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, to make Punjab drug-free, a rally against drug abuse was organized in Abohar under the leadership of District Sessions Judge Dharmendra Pal Singla.

Judges Satish Kumar Sharma, Chetan Sharma, Jagwinder Singh, Sukhmanpreet Singh, Arzoo Gill, Nitin Garg and Bar Association President Prakash Singh Brar were among those present.

Brar said that to make Punjab drug-free, we must unite. We need to encourage young people to participate in sports. We all must cooperate with the police administration.

Others said that city councillors, village sarpanches, and nambardar should inform the police if anyone is found involved in drug trafficking in their respective area so that drug traffickers can be apprehended. They emphasized that if we all work together, Punjab can be made drug-free.

The event was a part of the District Legal Services Authority’s anti-drug drive titled “Youth Against Drugs”.
