DR. ASHISHA GABA BECOMES LT COLONEL ON PROMOTION

Major Dr. Ashisha Gaba, daughter of Colonel S.P.R. Gaba (Retd) and Asha, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Serving presently at the Military Hospital in Jaipur, she was formally promoted to Lt Colonel by Brigadier K.S. Rajmohan, Commandant of the Military Hospital, Jaipur. Colonel S.P.R. Gaba, Asha, son-in-law Mayank Sachdeva, and Dr. Suchhind Gaba were present on the occasion.

Dr. Ashisha Gaba, a gynaecologist, has achieved several significant accomplishments during her 11 years of distinguished service in the Indian Army. During her deployment in the challenging mountainous regions of Jammu and Kashmir, she made a significant contribution. Her services in providing relief to injured soldiers during military operations to deal with various situations earned praise.

She has the special distinction of providing outstanding services abroad in collaboration with the UNO on behalf of the Indian Army. She carried out courageous actions in Jammu and Kashmir, providing first aid to injured colleagues during military operations against terrorists and safely transporting them to the hospital, for which she was also awarded a special honor by the army.
