SEWA BHARTI REMEMBERS UNTIRING WORKERS

Sewa Bharti today paid tribute to lifetime in-charge of the library and reading room, Subhash Hiteshi and former president Jagdish Chuchra on the death anniversary. Civil Hospital orthopaedic specialist Dr. Sanman Mazi and other staff and members of Seva Bharti offered flowers to the portraits of the distinguished activists.

Bharti's chief advisor Satpal Gilhotra said that Subhash Hiteshi served in the Municipal Council for 30 years. In view of his contribution in the census of 1971 and 1981 during his tenure, he was honored with a Silver Medal by the then President. He played a key role in MC ward delimitation till 1998. After retirement, Hiteshi got Swami Vivekananda Library established in the government hospital and remained in charge of it throughout his life.

Praveen Midha said that during his tenure, all the officers and heads of the Municipal Council were very impressed by his working style. On January 14, 2019, he left for heavenly abode. Similarly, former president of Seva Bharati, Jagdish Chand Chuchra passed away on January 15, 2021. Their services were remembered and Prasad was distributed.
