PANCHKULA CBI COURT CONVICTS, SENTENCES TWO PRIVATE COMPANIES AND SIX INDIVIDUALS IN BANK FRAUD CASES OF RS. 152 CRORE

The CBI Court, Panchkula, vide its order dated 13.01.2026, has sentenced Two Private companies, i.e., M/s SRS Real Infrastructure Ltd. and M/s SRS Real Estate Ltd. and six private persons, namely, Rajesh Singla, Anil Jindal, Bishan Bansal, Nanak Chand Tayal, Seema Narang and Dheeraj Gupta in bank Fraud cases.

The Court has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 each on the two accused companies i.e., M/s SRS Real Infrastructure Ltd. and M/s SRS Real Estate Ltd.

The accused private persons Rajesh Singla and Anil Jindal have been sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for Five Years with a Fine of Rs. 1.2 Lakh each; Bishan Bansal and Nanak Chand Tayal have been sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for Five Years with a Fine of Rs. 80,000 each; Seema Narang and Dheeraj Gupta have been sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for Four Years with a fine of Rs.40,000 each.

CBI registered the instant case on 14.07.2020 on the complaint of Canara Bank, Circle office, Karnal, Haryana. It was alleged that the accused persons in conspiracy with each other dishonestly and fraudulently cheated the complainant bank by fraudulently obtaining credit limit/loan of Rs. 152 crore and siphoned off the funds so received from Canara Bank for purposes other than the purpose for which the loan was sanctioned.

Investigation established that the private companies, M/s SRS Real Infrastructure Ltd. and M/s SRS Real Estate Ltd. through their respective co-accused Directors caused wrongful loss of Rs. 41.95 crore and Rs 93.20 crore respectively to Canara Bank by fraudulently obtaining credit limit of Rs. 42 crores and Rs. 110 crores respectively and by diverting the loan funds using dummy companies without any genuine underlying business activity in both the instances.

After completion of investigation, CBI filed two Chargesheets on 31.12.2022 against the accused persons including two accused companies.

The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted the above-mentioned accused on 22.12.2025 and sentenced them on 13.01.2026.
