The CBI registered the instant case on 16.01.2026 against the said accused, based on a written complaint alleging that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 2,00,000 to facilitate handover of the HPCL Retail Outlet to the complainant's wife, who is the proprietor of the outlet.
