MP TANMANJEET SINGH DHESI HONOURED WITH ‘SARKAR-E-KHALSA AWARD

DIB Events Dubai has organised an impressive ceremony here at Nirwana Hotel on the occasion of the Sarkar-e-Khalsa Awards 2026. The event was graced by the presence of Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, as the spiritual guest.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan was chief guest while Baba Gurjeet Singh Nanaksar was present as a special invitee. Member of Parliament and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi also attended the ceremony as a special guest and highly appreciated the initiative aimed at honouring personalities who have rendered exceptional services to society.

During the ceremony, 13 eminent Punjabis, who have brought pride to Punjab across the world, were honoured with the prestigious Sarkar-e-Khalsa Awards for their valuable contributions in diverse fields. Among them, UK Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Defence Committee, Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi was honoured for his outstanding achievements at the global level, for promoting the Punjabi community worldwide and for the remarkable humanitarian services rendered by the Dhesi family in the flood-affected areas of Ferozepur during last year’s floods in Punjab.

The award was received on behalf of Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi by his father, Jaspal Singh Dhesi, along with Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee member Parmjeet Singh Raipur.

Other awardees included SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, Baba Satnam Singh, Kar Sewa Kila Anandgarh Sahib, Baba Sukha Singh Sarhali Sahib, Sukhdev Singh Phagwara, Director, Sikhs for Equality Foundation, Baba Jagjeet Singh Baru Sahib, Lieutenant General K.J.S. Dhillon (Retd.), Mrs. Bector of Bector Foods, Sachit Jain of Vardhman Group, Wrestler Jassa Patti, Diljit Singh from New Zealand, Rani Preeti Singh, Jeevan Singh from Tamil United Sikhs, SAF International United Sikhs and Global Sikhs organisation.

Speakers on the occasion lauded the efforts of organisers and emphasised that such events play a vital role in strengthening Sikh values, promoting unity among Punjabis across the globe and fostering the spirit of service and leadership.
