STUDENTS SHOW ENTHUSIASM AND TALENT AT INTER SCHOOL YOUTH FESTIVAL

The Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle of Sriganganagar and Abohar organized an Inter School Youth Festival at Akal Academy in Sriganganagar.

Prominent schools which participated included Sri Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Seth GL Bihani Senior Secondary School, Guru Ramdas Convent School, Blooming Dales International School, Nosegay Public School, Bihani Children's Academy, and the host Akal Academy. Students from these schools enthusiastically took part in quiz competitions, beautiful handwriting (calligraphy), painting, poetry recitation, and dastarbandi (turban tying).

The students who secured first, second, and third places in each category were honored with attractive prizes. Also, special awards were given to students who performed excellently in the moral education examination (college level). These students proved their competence in an exam based on moral values and Sikh philosophy.

Special invited guests including Manmohan Singh, Kanwaljit Singh, Parminder Singh, and Jashan Singh, graced the event with their presence. Manjit Singh, the chief sewadar of Gurudwara Baba Zorawar Singh Baba Fateh Singh Riddhi-Siddhi Enclave in Sriganganagar, was also especially present. The guests inspired the students by highlighting the importance of Sikh history and values.

The members of the Study Circle who played an important role in conducting the program included Swarn Singh, Manjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, GP Singh, Balwinder Singh, Sheetal Singh, Surendra Singh, Harnek Singh, and Gurmeet Singh. The principal and staff members of Akal Academy also provided full cooperation.
