With a firm resolve to take the city to the pinnacle of cleanliness, a massive cleanliness drive was conducted on the Abohar-Hanumangarh Road under the 'Apna Abohar Apni Abha' campaign.

MLA Sandeep Jakhar himself joined the volunteers in cleaning the dividers in the middle of the road, removing accumulated dust and garbage. He appealed to local residents and shopkeepers to understand their responsibility towards the environment. He expressed particular concern about the increasing use of single-use plastic and appealed to people to completely stop using it, as it is not only harmful to health but also a major obstacle to the city's sewage system and overall cleanliness.

It was 177th camp under the campaign. Emphasizing beautification along with cleanliness, the MLA informed that extensive tree plantation has been carried out on these dividers by the Jakhar Trust. He said that hundreds of saplings have already been planted, and now the Trust will plant new saplings in the remaining empty spaces and take responsibility for their care so that this main road of the city looks green and attractive.

The volunteers enthusiastically contributed their labor and resolved to continue similar cleanliness drives in different wards of the city. Breakfast was arranged for all by Amanpreet Kaur, owner of Giorgio Hotel.
