7-DAY CIVIL DEFENCE TRAINING COURSE CONCLUDED AT DAV COLLEGE ABOHAR

As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, a seven-day Civil Defence Training Program was conducted at DAV College Abohar.

On the fourth and fifth days of the training course, Inspector Jaipal and his team from NDRF 07 Battalion Bathinda made the students aware about the methods of rescue in emergency situations, safe entry into damaged buildings, rescuing injured persons and disaster management by giving lectures and conducting practical/demos and provided information about disaster management.

(SUBHEAD)On the sixth and seventh days, Rajiv Malik and Surjit Kaur from the Red Cross team conducted a practical on the importance of first aid, methods of giving first aid to an injured person and the method of giving CPR. The trainees participated in the practical with full enthusiasm.

Store Superintendent Civil Defence Parminder Singh Bath gave the message to the participants to act as responsible citizens of the country and society in the coming time and thanked the chief guests present. Social worker Saryu Gaba, Company Commander Anish Gupta, Master Trainer Sandeep Kamboj, Company Commander Paramjit Singh and Master Trainer Manjit Singh etc. were present.

Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar Mahajan said that such initiatives will inculcate a new feeling of responsibility among the youth towards the nation.
