Face2News/Nabha/Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday visited Hira Mahal in Nabha, Punjab, where he attended the ‘dastaarbandi’ (turban-tying ceremony) of Kunwar Abhyuday Pratap Singh of the Nabha royal family. He congratulated the family on the occasion and paid obeisance before the Guru Granth Sahib ji.

(MOREPIC2)(MOREPIC1)  Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the day was a moment of great pride and significance for history and cultural heritage. He remarked that the ‘dastaarbandi’ of Kunwar Abhyuday Pratap Singh was not merely a private family event, but a revival of the rich legacy of the Phulkian dynasty, which has shaped the social and spiritual landscape of the region for centuries.

He said the occasion reminded everyone of the illustrious personalities of Nabha who left a lasting mark on history. Recalling Maharaja Hira Singh Ji, he said that his reign set new benchmarks in administrative excellence and cultural preservation. He also paid tribute to Maharaja Ripudaman Singh, whose courage and independent spirit remained steadfast even during British rule, never compromising on Sikh identity.

The Chief Minister further highlighted the deep spiritual blessings associated with the family, bestowed by the Tenth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who had granted the divine boon, “Tera ghar, mera aasra”. This blessing, he said, continues to live on through the preservation and reverent care of the sacred relics of Guru Sahib at Hira Mahal.

Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said he firmly believed that Kunwar Abhyuday Pratap Singh would carry forward this glorious heritage of faith and service to even greater heights.

Former Minister of State Haryana. Sh. Manish Grover, Rani Preeti Singh, Kunwar Bhanu Pratap Singh, and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
