DELHI CYBER POLICE NABS THREE FRAUDSTERS FOR CHEATING ON PRETEXT OF SELLING ELECTRICAL ITEMS

A team of PS Cyber/NED arrested three cyber fraudsters for cheating people on the pretext of selling electronic items at discounted rates through social media platforms. The cheated amount has been frozen in the beneficiary account.

(MOREPIC1)  On 03.02.26, a case vide FIR No. 0002/26 under Sections 318(4), 319, 61(2) & 3(5) of the BNS was registered at PS Cyber/NED. The complainant, Vijay Rajesh Kachrawat, S/o Rajesh Kachrawat, R/o Pune City, Maharashtra, reported that he was contacted by an entity named “Sameer Sale Electronics”, operating from Maujpur, Delhi. He was induced to purchase a Whirlpool washing machine (9 kg) for ₹10,000/-. The product was shown through video calls, and delivery was assured after payment. However, despite receiving the online payment, the accused failed to deliver the product.

A dedicated team led by Inspector Rahul Kumar, SHO, PS Cyber/NED, collected evidence and arrested the three accused  namely  Sameer (25), S/o Farooq, R/o Maujpur, Delhi,  Aman (25) , S/o Ali Hassan, R/o Shalimar Garden, Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh, Tohid Malik (21), S/o Haseen Malik, R/o Dayalpur, Delhi

During sustained interrogation, the accused admitted to committing the crime. The cheated amount of ₹10,000/- paid by the complainant has been frozen in the beneficiary account. Further investigation in the case is ongoing., said Mr. Ashish Mishra, IPS, North-East District, Delhi.
