DLSA ORGANISES FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP AT FAZILKA SUB-JAIL

Under the guidance of Dharminder Pal Singla, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka and Secretary Ruchi Swapan Sharma, a free medical check-up camp was organized for the prisoners at Sub-Jail Fazilka in collaboration with Health Department, Fazilka.

Completely free medical check-up was done on the prisoners/patients, in which blood pressure, sugar, temperature, weight, T.B., dental, skin and eye related diseases were checked. The patients were also provided free medicines as per their requirement and patients with serious diseases were given information regarding referral to government hospitals for further examination and treatment.

The doctors also made the prisoners aware about the proper intake of medicines, personal hygiene, nutrition, staying away from drugs and adopting a healthy lifestyle. The prisoners were also informed about their legal rights and free legal aid schemes.
