CHIEF MINISTER TAKES COGNIZANCE OF THE ACCIDENT AT SURAJKUND INTERNATIONAL CRAFTS MELA. GOVERNMENT TO BEAR COST OF TREATMENT OF THE INJURED

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while making an announcement today, said that one member of the martyr Inspector’s family will be given a government job, financial assistance of ₹1 lakh each will be provided to the injured, and the government will bear the cost of treatment of the injured in good hospitals. The Chief Minister expressed grief over the tragic accident caused by the collapse of a swing ride at the Surajkund International Crafts Mela in Faridabad. 

The Chief Minister said that the accident at the Surajkund Mela is extremely painful. Expressing his condolences to Inspector Jagdish Prasad, the police officer who was martyred in the incident, he said that the state government stands firmly with the martyr’s family in this difficult time. Martyr Inspector Jagdish Prasad was posted at Chandhat Police Station in Palwal. The Chief Minister assured that all possible assistance would be provided to the family of the martyred police personnel. 

Out of the 8 injured admitted to Supreme Hospital, 4 patients have been discharged after treatment, while the remaining 4 are still undergoing treatment and are under the supervision of a team of doctors. In addition, 4 injured admitted to BK Civil Hospital have also been discharged after treatment. The Chief Minister has directed the concerned officials to ensure that such an incident does not recur.
