After organising hundreds of sports and awareness programmes under the “Nashon Se Door, Khelon Ki Aur” campaign, founded by late Surinder Jakhar, youngest chairman of IFFCO, the Jakhar Trust in collaboration with Arcesium LLC organized the Laptop Distribution Ceremony for the second consecutive year to provide laptops to 47 students of government schools in Abohar area who had topped in the PSEB’s Class 10 annual exam.

(MOREPIC1)  The chief guest, Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, Principal of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, said that when the society becomes so conscious about education, only then all-round development of the nation is possible. The Jakhar Trust has given these children not just a laptop, but a new sky of possibilities. Special guests were Kiran Arora, Manjeet Kaur Popli and Prof. Ashok Sachdeva. Trustee Vijay Kataria welcomed all.

MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that the aim of the Trust is to remove the shortcomings in the field of education so that lack of resources does not become a hindrance in the progress of any child. The Trust had recently established a Study Center to facilitate preparing for competitive exams.

Mayor Vimal Thatai described the initiative as a perfect approach to bring “Shiksha Kranti” in letter and spirit. He encouraged the students saying that when our promising children get the right resources, they touch new dimensions of success. This initiative of the Trust will prove to be a milestone for the youth of Abohar.
