GOVERNOR OF PUNJAB AND ADMINISTRATOR, UT CHANDIGARH MEETS UNION DEFENCE MINISTER, PLEAD FOR SAINIK SCHOOL

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Union Defence Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh, in New Delhi.

During the meeting, a meaningful and detailed discussion was held regarding the proposal to establish a Sainik School in Chandigarh.

The Governor stated that the establishment of a Sainik School would significantly contribute to strengthening discipline, leadership qualities, and the spirit of national service among the youth.

The meeting also included an in-depth discussion on ensuring effective control over the smuggling of narcotics and weapons through drones along the border areas. Emphasis was laid on further strengthening and modernizing the anti-drone system to reinforce national security.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for its cooperation in this regard.
