In a grand Diksha Mahotsav held at the pilgrimage town of Sarangpur, 29 highly educated youths renounced worldly life to embark on a path of selfless service and spirituality, in the divine presence of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha’s spiritual leader, Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj.
These 29 newly initiated youths possess outstanding academic qualifications. The group comprises 1 MBA holder, 3 Master's degree holders, 5 Engineers, 9 Graduates, 4 Diploma Engineers, and 1 Lawyer. Despite having promising careers and access to modern material comforts, these young men made the rare and profound resolve to dedicate their entire lives to serving humanity, uplifting society, and pursuing a spiritual path.
(SUBHEAD)The auspicious ceremony commenced with a Vedic Mahapuja. Following this, Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj bestowed the sacred thread (Yagnopavit) upon the youths. Senior Sadguru Swamis then adorned the newly initiated Parshads with the kanthi, mala, pagh (traditional headwear), and upavastra (upper garment). The ceremony concluded with Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj imparting the Gurumantra and showering his divine blessings upon them.
The supreme sacrifice of the youths' parents was also deeply acknowledged and honored during the assembly. Senior Swamis felicitated the fathers, while senior women leaders honored the mothers of the newly initiated youths.
These youths will now undergo rigorous training at the 'BAPS Sant Prashikshan Kendra' at Sarangpur. They will undertake an in-depth study of Sanatan Dharma scriptures, Sanskrit, and contemporary management principles
