FARIDKOT TO GET WAR MEMORIAL IN HONOUR OF FREEDOM FIGHTERS AND MARTYR SOLDIERS: MOHINDER BHAGAT

Punjab Defence Services Welfare, Freedom Fighters and Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat today informed during the Punjab Vidhan Sabha session that a War Memorial will be constructed in the Faridkot constituency in memory of freedom fighters and martyr soldiers. 

The Minister said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, a prominent park in Faridkot city, has been selected for this purpose. He informed that the design of the memorial has already been approved. He further said that after the approval of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the responsibility for the construction of the memorial has been entrusted to the Public Works Department. 

The Minister further stated that the memorial will play a significant role in commemorating the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation. He said that the War Memorial will inspire future generations with the spirit of patriotism, sacrifice and service. He reiterated that the Punjab Government is fully committed to the welfare and honour of freedom fighters and the families of martyr soldiers.
