THREE NABBED WITH ILLEGAL FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION

Sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) have nabbed three persons and have recovered four pistols, four magazines and seven live cartridges from them during two seperate operations.

While divulging details, Bhupinder Singh SSP said that following the inputs, a trap was laid by the CIA sleuths near Zira bus stand during which the accused identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gumma (25) and Deepak Kumar wlais Khadak Singh alias Deepu (28) were nabbed and during the checking, two pistols (.32 bore) , two magazines and two live rounds were recovered from them following which the accused had been booked under sections 25,27 of Arms Act at Zira city police station (FIR No. 45).

(SUBHEAD)The SSP said that in other case, the CIA sleuths nabbed one accused identified as Sandeep alias Billa (32) a resident of Khalchia Jadid village while he was roaming under suspicious circumstances near Ferozeshah village. The SSP said that during his checking , 105 gram heroin, two pistols and five live rounds following which he was booked under section 21 of NDPS Act and sections 25, 27 of Arms Act at Ghall Khurd police station (FIR No. 28).

The SSP said all the accused have criminal record in the past and have been booked under various cases of NDPS and Arms Act at various police stations.
