CBI ARRESTS SBI ASSISTANT MANAGER IN A BRIBERY CASE

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) hasarrested Asst. Manager/Loan Officer, SBI, Gumi Branch, District-Kamrup (Rural), Assam, while demanding and accepting bribe / undue advantage of Rs. 16,000 from the complainant. 

The CBI registered the instant case on 12.03.2026 against the accusedAsst. Manager/Loan Officer, SBI, Gumi Branch, District- Kamrup (Rural), Assam, based on a complaint that the accused demanded a bribe/ undue advantage of Rs. 16,000 from the complainant towards processing of loan applications of the customers for installation of rooftop solar electrification. 

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe / undue advantage of Rs. 16,000 from the complainant. Searches were also conducted at the premises of the accused. 

Investigation is continuing.
