31 NGOs FELICITATE AKRITI SINGLA WITH “PRIDE OF ABOHAR” AWARD

Akriti Singla, who secured AIR 122 in the UPSC examination and is set to join the Indian Police Services, was felicitated by 31 non-government organizations during a function organised at the Gaushala complex in Abohar with “Abohar Gaurav Award”. People braved rain to ensure presence in the programme.

The NGOs included the Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Gaushala Managing Committee, Arorvansh Dharamshala Charitable Trust, Nar Seva Narayan Seva Samiti, Balaji Samaj Seva Sangh, Agarwal Sabha, Green City Abohar, Bahawalpur Samaj, Sri Sathya Sai Sena Society, Maheshwari Sangathan, Punjab National Bank Officers Association, Meera College, Rotary Club, Salasar Balaji Seva Samiti, Jyani Natural Farm Katehra and the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Trust, among others.

(SUBHEAD)Punjab Agriculture Minister, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, hailed Akriti Singla as an inspiration for the youth, stating that not only Abohar but the entire state of Punjab takes pride in her achievement. He noted that this year, a record number of young women from Punjab achieved their goals by securing impressive ranks in the UPSC examination.

Others present included MLA Sandeep Jakhar, Ex MLA Arun Narang, SDM Ravinder Singh Arora, senior BJP leader Vijay Lakshmi Bhadu, Gaushala Managing Committee President Fakir Chand Goyal and Secretary Rakesh Kalani, Raju Charaya and Dr. Rishi Narang.
