Nidhi is classically trained singer, has been learning classical music and started performing at the age of 7. Because of her willingness and dedication, she completed her Prabhakar in Sugam sangeet and Hindustani classical, Visharad in Hindustani classical.
She has founded Jersey Tarana - a musical institute to educate communities through formal vocal / instrumental lessons in Indian classical and traditional music. The institute is affiliated to one of the oldest and reputed music university – Prayaag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, UP, India. She has been teaching Hindustani classical music for last 15 years
She introduced “Indian Independence Day celebrations” under the brand “Mere Desh Ki Dhartii” where Indian communities come together for Indian Independence Day. She also introduced “East Side Diwali, an upscale celebration of lights”.
After spending 10 years in New Jersey/New York, she moved with her family all the way from east coast to west coast, a transition where most of people find it difficult to adjust. It’s been four years at Redmond and she has already established “Jersey Tarana” a leading musical institute for students with regular workshops.
Nidhi was born and raised at small town of Bihar where definition of normal life is way different and beyond imagination. A lot of us can’t imagine growing up in a place where people spend entire summer without electricity; extracurricular knowledge is a distant matter for girls as basic education is also not taken seriously by society. Being the youngest and only girl in the family, she was pampered by her parents and her brothers. It was because of her forward looking family and her own passion; she refused to surrender against all odds while growing up. EOM
