PUBLIC HEALTH ENGINEERING DEPTT DEPUTY SUPDTT. ARRESTED FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS FOUR THOUSANDS

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested Deputy Superintendentof Public Health Engineering Department for taking bribe of Rs 4,000 from a contractor.

A  spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that this amount of bribe was being taken by the accused Deputy Superintendent Shamsher Singh posted in Fatehabad district in exchange for passing the water repair bills.

Contractor Navneet Kumar, in his Vigilance complaint against the Deputy Superintendent, alleged that the accused had already taken Rs 4,000 in lieu of payment of bills. Even after that he was being harassed and more money was being demanded.

Acting on a complaint, the vigilance team arrested the accused for accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000.

The spokesperson said that a case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau Police Station and investigation is underway.
