The Punjabi University Team won the first place in the women's rifle shooting in the All India Inter University Shooting Championship organized by Swami Vivekananda Subharati University from April 9 to 12.
The team comprising Jasmeen Kaur, Arpandeep Kaur and Vansika Chaudhary won the first place with 1247.6 points and the Air Rifle Mixed Team won the second place.
Giving more information about this, Dr. Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa said that in the All India Inter University Competition held at Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad before these competitions, the university shooters also excelled in various team events and got honors for Punjabi University in Skeet Women's Team Event.(SUBHEAD)
The team based on Ashish Chhina, Arpandeep Kaur and Amandeep Kaur came third; In the Skeet Men's event, the team based on Sukhbir Singh, Sukhdarshan Singh and Rajveer Singh Gill took first place; In the trap women's team event, the team based on Ashish Chhina, Arpandeep Kaur and Amandeep Kaur came third.
In the Trap Men's Team Event, the team based on Jangsher Virk, Gurfatih Singh and Sehajpreet Singh took first place; Sukhbir Singh Harika and Ashish Chhina bagged third place in Skeet Mix Team Event; In the 25m sports pistol women's team event, the team based on Ishneet Aulakh, Kritika Sharma and Arshdeep Kaur came third and in the women's skeet individual event Ashish Chhina came third.
Assistant Director of the Department Mrs. Mahinderpal Kaur and Dr. Dalbir Singh and all sports department congratulated the winning players and coaches.
