27 PASSPORT RECOVERED, ACCUSED REMANDED TO POLICE CUSTODY

In major breakthrough Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has got success by arresting the accused namely Tajinder Kumar @ Gaurav and Major Singh @ Anil Kulkarni, who are involved in immigration fraud case.
Police said, FIR No.66 dtd 25.04.22 U/s 406, 420, 120 IPC & 24 Immigration Act of PS-31 was registered on the complaint of Sh. Bhupinder Singh, Amar Singh, Mehar Singh, Baljit Singh, Narinder Kumar, Manish Kumar, Nirmal Singh, Mewa Lal, Harbhej Singh and others in which they alleged that M/s Universal Travel at SCO No 105, Ist Floor, Sector-47C, Chandigarh had taken Rs. 85000/- each (Total approx. Rs 5,95,000/-) along with passports from them for providing work visa of Tanzania, but neither they provide work visa nor returned their amount, passports and relevant documents.
During investigation, it came to light that M/S Universal Travels is run by Tajinder Kumar @Gaurav and Major Singh @ Anil Kulkarni. After duping the money from complainants they closed the office and fled away.(SUBHEAD)
In this regard a team under the close guidance of Sh Charanjit Singh, DSP/South Division and under the supervision of Inspector Ranjit Singh, SHO/PS-31, headed by ASI Surjit Singh with ASI Paramjit Singh, ASI ShambhuNath, C Naveen Kumar, C Jagatjit Singh of PS-31 has been constituted. During investigation with the sincere efforts of the team succeeded in arresting accused namely Tajinder Kumar @ Gaurav from Mohali, Punjab and Major Singh @ Anil Kulkarni from Amritsar, Punjab on 09.05.2022.
On dated 10.05.2022 both accused produced in Hon’ble Court and obtained two days police remand.
During further investigation on their disclosure the following items/ documents has been recovered:-
27 Passports (07 passports of complainants and 20 of other persons) ., Three Cash receipt books M/s Universal Travel, SCO No 105, Ist Floor, Sector-47C, Chandigarh, one Mobile, One office Laptop of M/s Universal Travel , 6 Cheque books of different banks related to accused., POS/cash swipe machine.

Tajinder Singh @ Gaurav Sh Sukhdev Raj R/o # 504, Worldone Society, Block A-1, KhararLandran Road, Sector-115, Mohali, Punjab Age-31 years, Major Singh @ Anil Kulkarni S/o Sh Pritam Singh R/o # 737, Gali No-8, Harkishan Nagar, Chirata, Amritsar, Punjab Age- 41 Years.
