Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Kumari Selja today reached the residence of Punjab Congress leader and famous singer Sardar Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala in village Moosa in Mansa in Punjab to mourn his murder. She paid tributes and condoled the grief stricken family members. She prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Later, Kumari Selja said that Moosewala was a multi-talented artist. He achieved a great position at a very young age with his talent and hard work. Moosewala's untimely and sad demise was an irreparable loss to the music world, she added.
She said that many people have been killed in Punjab in the last two months after the formation of Aam Aadmi Party. The murder of a famous singer in this way was a living example of the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party government had proved to be a complete failure in maintaining law and order and tightening the noose on the criminals.(SUBHEAD)
Kumari Selja said that the Punjab government had withdrawn Moosewala's security a day before his murder. The Punjab government withdrew the security of over 400 people and then their names were made public. This was done for the purpose of gaining political advantage. By doing so, the Aam Aadmi Party government invited criminals to target the people, said Kumari Selja.
She demanded that Sidhu Moosewala and his family should get justice at the earliest. The government should award harshest punishment to the culprits by conducting a fair investigation in this matter.
