On Saturday at about 8.15 PM a grenade was found submerged in water in Hindon canal under DND flyover in the area of PS Mayur Vihar.
The grenade was found in a matka (earthen pot) by the divers who keep scouting the river bed for coins.
On the basis of information, Special cell and NSG command room were informed.
NSG team came and disposed off the bomb safely. After their field inspection an FIR 360/22 U/S 4 Explosives Substance Act PS Mayur Vihar has been registered. Further investigation is being carried out.
