Abohar : Aks Abohar, a theatrical NGO, once again succeeded in waving the flag at the national level. Aks brought laurels to the area by winning six awards in the 67th All India Dance and Drama Competition organized by All India Artists Association in Shimla. Many teams from different parts of the country participated in this tough competition and all the plays were one to one.
Aks President Mangat Verma and Press Secretary Raghav Nagpal said that in the competition, Aks staged Hindi play “Apna Bhag”, written by Waryam Singh Sandhu and directed by Deepak Kamboj. During the presentation, the audience kept clapping repeatedly on the dialogues.
Manchita Verma was presented with the Second-Best Actress Award, Deepak Kamboj the Second-Best Director and Best Actor Award, Vikram Kamra got the Consolation Award and Anjam Gulati got the Award of Honour. Mangat Verma, Anjam Gulati, Jyotsna Kamboj, Laranya Gulati, Vikram Kamra, Sandeep Verma, Sahaj, Sidaq, Rajni Verma, Amardeep, Jasveer Jassi won a lot of applause in the play. Playback singer Tulsi Goyal, music director Sunil Jangid, set designer Bobby Sandha, art director Vishant Miglani also helped to make the presentations beautiful.
The panel of judges, being completely impressed with the presentation, not only declared the play as the best play of the competition but also congratulated the entire team for the successful performance.
