PSPCL EMPLOYEE CAUGHT RED HANDED BY VIGILANCE BUREAU FOR TAKING RS 10000 BRIBE

The Vigilance Bureau Punjab on Thursday nabbed Paramjit Singh, Revenue Assistant, posted at PSPCL Lakhowal, Kohara office in Ludhiana district red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 10000 for transfer of power connection. 

Disclosing this a spokesperson of state vigilance bureau said the accused Revenue Assistant (RA) has been arrested on the complaint of a resident of village Lakhowal, Ludhiana district against corruption. The complaint informed the VB that accused Paramjit Singh was demanding Rs 50,000 to transfer a tubewell power connection in his name which was on his father’s name and the deal was struck at Rs 30,000. 

After verification of alleged facts, a team of Vigilance Bureau (EOW), Punjab, Ludhiana has caught Paramjit Singh red handed while accepting bribe money of Rs 10000 in the presence of two official witnesses, he added. 

The spokesperson further informed that in this case, a FIR under section 7, Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered at police station VB Ludhiana and further investigation is under progress.
