Rotary Club Abohar Central honored Subhash Chander Bishnoi, who was conducting a bicycle tour across India for water and environment conservation. Bishnoi hails from Hisar district of Haryana. After retiring from govt service, he made water and environment conservation campaigns his life goal and is on a trip to India on his bicycle.
60-year-old Bishnoi has so far visited 18 states of India and three states of Nepal using bicycle and has covered a journey of 17000 km. From Sriganganagar he reached Nehru Park in Abohar.
The members of Rotary Club Abohar Central and various social organizations including Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa Samiti greeted him by clapping, showering flowers and garlanding. Club Secretary Rajiv Godara informed that Subhash Bishnoi is heading on a cycle from Abohar to Ludhiana, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand to Delhi via Amritsar, giving the message of safe environment.
