CONTAMINATED CANAL WATER CAUSING DISEASES: SANDEEP JAKHAR

As part of Apna Abohar Apni Abha Abhiyan, a cleanliness drive was conducted at the water works on Hanumangarh Road. On the occasion, MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that chemical-rich water of Buddha Nala was spoiling the canals. Due to which people are falling prey to diseases, while crops and orchards are also getting damaged.

He said that he is constantly in touch with Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal MP regarding this, he recently visited Abohar. The MLA said that the AAP government should take quick and concrete steps in this direction. He also appealed to the people not to throw pooja material or anything else in the canals. Farmers should also not wash empty cans of insecticides or spray pumps in canals.

He said that the central government has banned single use plastic and everyone should follow it so that the harm caused by it can be avoided. “We should conserve rain water and make good use of it”, he added. Plantation was also done by the team on this occasion.
