BK Binny Sareen, a native of Jalandhar who has devoted her life to Brahma Kumaris organisation, recently conducted Yoga Meditation at 15,000 feet World’s highest height Pangong Lake with world renowned spiritual leaders, Indian Army, Ambassadors and ministers. About 1000 people meditated and performed physical Yoga exercises conducted by Yoga experts.
The event was organised by Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre Leh in association with the administration of UT Ladakh Government. Week-long Yoga Festival and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was inaugurated by Lt. Governor Radha Krishna Mathur and founder President of Mahabodhi International Meditation Center Leh Ven. The week-long events were graced and addressed by eminent dignitaries – Dr. Kiran Bedi former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Rajendra Pal Gautam Union Cabinet Minister, Santosh Shukla CEO, World Book of Records. High Commissioner of Mongolia Dambajavyn Ganbold, High Commissioner of Myanmar U Moe Kyaw Aung, High Commissioner of Thailand Pattarat Hongtong, Dr. Suchita Shukla, BK Rakesh and officers of the Indian Army were also present.
Significantly, Pangong Lake is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stands in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China. Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”.
Dr. BK Binny had also been invited by the Governor of U.T. of Ladakh to conduct meditation sessions and B.K Rakesh from Mount Abu also accompanied for spiritual services. The Governor appreciated worldwide spiritual services contributions of Brahma Kumaris.
