ARRESTED ACCUSED ROHIT @ LAMBA IS A RIVAL OF NEERAJ BAWANIA GANG., POSSIBLE GANG WAR AVERTED., ACCUSED ROHIT @ LAMBA WAS LOOKING FOR OPPURTUNITY TO ELIMINATE MEMBERS OF DREADED GANGSTER NEERAJ BAWANIA, ACCUSED ROHIT @ LAMBA WAS ALSO WANTED IN A CASE OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER OF PS NAJAFGARH, ACCUSED ALSO INVOLVED IN THE SENSATIONAL MURDER OF GANGSTER KALA AASODIYA, MATERNAL UNCLE OF NEERAJ BAWANIA GANG WHILE HE WAS BEING PRODUCED IN COURT AT JHAJJAR. PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN TWENTY CRIMINAL CASES INCLUDING 4 MURDERS, MULTIPLE ATTEMPT TO MURDERS, ROBBERIES, ARMS ACT CASES ETC. ACROSS DELHI, UP, HARYANA.

A team of Insp Krishan Kumar, based on secret information received by SI Sachin Gulia on July 7, has apprehended one person namely Rohit @ Lamba r/o H-Block, Dharampura, Najafgarh, Delhi Age: – 30 Years from Najafgarh Nala Road, Near Vipin Garden, Uttam Nagar Area. From the possession of Rohit @ Lamba one sophisticated pistol and 02 live cartridges have been recovered. In this regard, a Case FIR No. 133/22 dated 08.07.2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Crime Branch.
The accused Rohit @ Lamba has also been found involved in attempt to murder case of Najafgarh area. On 12.01.2022, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with his associates had fired upon one Durga Singh r/o Jai Vihar Phase-1, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Delhi. In this regard, a case FIR No. 22/2022 dated 13.01.2022 u/s 307/34 IPC and 27 Arms Act was registered at PS Najafgarh.
During investigation, the local police had arrested four accused persons namely Uday Dahiya, Deepen, Kapil Sharma @ Lalu and Prashant were arrested. However, the accused Rohit @ Lamba and his associate Gaurav @ Masala were evading arrest.
The accused Rohit @ Lamba is a member of notorious Ashok Pardhan-Neetu Dabodia Gang. At the instance of Ashok Pardhan, in 2017, he had murdered Kala Aasodia, a member of Neeraj Bawana Gang, in a sensational manner while Kala Aasodia was being produced at Jhajjar Court by Police. Neeraj Bawania is the rival gang of Ashok Pardhan Gang.
The accused Rohit @ Lamba extorts protection money from Satta Operator in Najafgarh and Uttam Nagar area. The accused fires upon his target if someone refuses to give him protection money. The accused was changing his address and location frequently. He was evading his arrest deliberately. Thus, technical surveillance was mounted, and efforts were made to trace the accused and with the help of specialized technical investigation, Rohit @ Lamba was traced near Vipin Garden, Chandar Vihar Nala, Uttam Nagar, Delhi area.
Anticipating the possibility of a gang war between rival gangs of Delhi and considering the rise in cases of firing and murder in Delhi/NCR, a team of AGS, Crime Branch led by ACP Yashpal Singh and Insp Krishan Kumar, comprising of SI Anuj Chhikara, SI Sachin Gulia, ASI Govind, ASI Virender, ASI Hari Singh HC Ravinder, HC Rahul, HC Badri Prasad, , HC Deepak, HC Narender, W/HC Bhagwanti & Ct Ashok under the close supervision of Sh. Umesh Barthwal, ACP/AGS and overall guidance of under-signed was constituted to nab the gangsters who possess illegal weapons and were actively involved in firing incidents. Secret informers were deputed to track such gangsters. On analysing voluminous data, the accused Rohit @ Lamba was identified. The accused Rohit @ Lamba was cleverly changing places and using others to reside at various places to avoid detection. After sustained specialized investigation and monitoring accused Rohit @ Lamba was traced from Vipin Garden area of Delhi.

INTERROGATION, PROFILE AND CRIMINAL INVOLVEMENTS
The accused Rohit @Lamba @ Mohit @ Amit belongs to middle class family residing in Dharampura, Najafgarh area and had studied up to 12th standard from Govt. school in Najafgarh. In the year 2010, while he was in 11th class, as juvenile was involved in different cases of carjacking and robbery etc. as juvenile with his childhood friends Pankaj, Pummy & Kale, all resident of Roshanpura, Najafgarh.
On 02.09.2013, he along with his associates Sumit @ Kake and others stabbed one Yudhvir r/o Dharampura to death. In this case, he was arrested and remained in jail for about one and a half years. In jail, he met dreaded gangsters Ashok Pradhan r/o Nilothi & Rajesh Durmut etc. who were members of Neetu Dabodhia gang and got befriended with them.
In the year 2014, he came out of jail and committed attempt to murder in PS Ranhola area. In this case he fired along with one of his friend Anshu r/o Baprola upon victim. Subsequently, he was arrested and remained in jail for about 6 months. Due to his criminal activities his family debarred his from ancestral property. Thereafter he joined Ashok Pradhan gang and committed several murders in gang-war, contract killing and carjacking etc. in Delhi, UP & Haryana.
In the year 2015, he along with his associates Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal, Rahul Baiyanpuria, Mangeram, Sameen, Naushad@ Jaadu robbed two dumpers in the areas of PS Sadar Mahendergarh and PS Beri, Jhajjar. The accused persons also robbed a Swift Dzire car in Delhi after abducting its driver near Rithala Metro Station. on 17.11.2015 he along with his abovementioned associate shot dead one Sunil Pandit in Palam Extension, Sector-7, Dwarka area to take revenge of his friend Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal. A case vide FIR No. 888/15 dated 17.11.2015 u/s 302/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act registered at PS Dwarka South. Later, all the accused persons were arrested in these cases, while the accused Rohit @
Lamba remained at large. He was later arrested in this case. Thereafter, on the instructions of gang leader Ashok Pradhan, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with Rohit @ Balli @Vittal took contract of killing of Shri Dhan Kumar Jain, Secretary Jewelers Association, Agra and fired shots on him on 22.11.2015 outside his house in police protection. The victim managed to save his life in the incident but sustained bullet injury.
A case vide FIR No. 265/15 dated 22.11.2015 u/s 307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act registered at PS MM Gate, Agra, UP. This sensational incident had created an atmosphere of terror in the locality and several agitations were staged by traders and political parties in Agra.
On 09.01.2016, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with his associates Sikander & others fired several shots on a grocery shop in area of Roshanpura, Najafgarh to maintain supremacy and to terrorize the locality. The shop owner Ram Khiladi sustained injuries in the incident and a case vide FIR No. 20/16 dated 10.01.2016 u/s 440 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act registered at PS Chhawla.
On 14.03.2016, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with his associates Ashok Pradhan & Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal robbed a Swift VDI car from Bawana Industrial area. A case vide FIR No. 151/16 dated14.03.2016 u/s 392/397 IPC is registered in this regard. This car was later recovered by UP Police in Mathura when encounter took place between Mathura police and the accused persons.
Thereafter on 10.04.2016, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with his associates Ashok Pradhan, Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal, Rajesh @ Dhurmat and Monty @ Moni shot dead one Krishan r/o VPO Barahi, Bahadurgarh, Haryana in gang-war in a ‘Ragini Competition’.
A case vide FIR No. 42/16 dated 10.04.2016 u/s 148/149/307/302/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act registered at PS Line Paar Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana. Krishan was killed to take revenge of their associate Kismat @ Kaala.
After this, on 18.07.2016 in a sensational incident of shootout, the accused along with his associates Monty, Rinku @ Banjara and others shot dead one Rohit r/o VPO Pooth in his village in area of PS Bawana, Delhi due to enmity of the deceased with one of the gang member Rinku @ Banjara. The accused was arrested in this sensational murder case.(SUBHEAD)
On 07.09.2016, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with his associates Rohit @ Vittal @ Balli, Bakra & Rajesh Durmut robbed white color Honda Amaze car near IP University, Dwarka, after abducting its driver on pistol point. The accused persons injured the driver with pistol butts, who managed to escape in traffic jam near Najafgarh drain. A case vide FIR No. 426/16 dated 07.09.2016 u/s 392/397/34 IPC registered at PS Dwarka North. The accused Rohit @ Lamba was arrested in the case.
On 20.12.2016, the accused along with his associates robbed an Eco Sports SUV near G3S Mall, Rohini. A case vide FIR No.873/16 dated 20.12.2016 u/s 392/397/34 IPC registered at PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi and the accused Rohit @ Lamba was arrested in this case.
During this period, the gang members also remained involved in looting illegal satta operators/betting books indifferent parts of West, South-West & Rohini district of Delhi but nobody dared to complain against the gangsters. On 17.01.2017, the accused along his associates Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal, Pradeep Hooda & others robbed Rs.70,000/- from a satta/betting book being run by one Akram Khan in area of PS Uttam Nagar after firing several rounds. Two persons sustained sever bullet injuries in the incident. A case vide FIR No. 14/17 dated 17.01.2017 u/s 307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act registered at PS Uttam Nagar and one of the accused Pradeep Hooda was arrested in this case by Crime Branch.
Thereafter on 22.03.2017, the accused Rohit @ Lamba along with his associates Ashok Pradhan, Rohit @ Balli@ Vittal, Lalit Rathi, Sikander and others shot dead one Kala Asodiya in gang war in police custody in Jhajjar court complex while he was being produced in the court. The murder was committed in retaliation of killing of Ashok Pradhan’s brother namely Dilbagh Singh by Kala Asodia.
Kala Asodiya was maternal uncle as well as mentor of dreaded gangster Neeraj Bawania. Neeraj Bawania learnt the traits of Crime from Kala Asodiya. A case vide FIR No. 221/17 dated 22.03.2017 u/s 307/302/332/353/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act registered at PS Jhajjar, Haryana. In 2004, Kala Asodia along with his associates had killed the brother of Ashok Pardhan namely Dilbagh Singh.
Mr. Rohit Meena, IPS, DCP, Crime-II, said, most of the gang members including Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal, Lalit Rathi, Sikander have been arrested by police including the gang leader Ashok Pradhan while Rohit @ Lamba was absconding. One of their gang member Rajesh Durmut was shot dead by rival Neeraj Bawania gang on 29.04.2017 in Rohini court complex while he was being produced by Haryana police for hearing of his under-trial cases. Vikram @ Bakra r/o Kair, another gang member was killed on 14.10.2016 by the rivals.
Presently, the gang leader Ashok Pradhan and Rohit @ Lamba were planning to kill rival gangster Neeraj Bawania and his associates lodged in different jails during their production in courts to take revenge of killing of their associates by Neeraj Bawania gang.
BACKGROUND OF THE GANG
The gang was previously known by Neetu Dabodhia gang whose gang leader was killed in encounter by Delhi Police in October 2013. The gang created terror in various parts of Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab by committing a series of consecutive murders in gang-war and robberies etc. After killing of the gang leader Neetu Dabodhia, Ashok Pradhan r/o Village Nilothi, Bahadurgarh, Haryana has taken over the command of gang who recruited budding criminals in the gang.
This gang has association with gang of dreaded Manjeet Mahal, active in West, South-West and Outer District of Delhi and adjoining areas of Haryana while their rivals are Krishan Pahalwan gang & Neeraj Bawania gang. Neeraj Bawania is presently lodged in Tihar jail in MCOCA case. Keeping in view the increasing criminal activities of Manjeet Mahal & Ashok Pradhan Gang, Crime Branch had invoked provisions of MCOC Act against Manjeet Mahal.
The accused person Rohit @ Lamba has been arrested under relevant section of law.Further investigation is underway.
