JOBS/ADMISSIONS IN MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS AND TAKE HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY. PUNEET @ PANKAJ PREVIOUSLY FOUND INVOLVED IN 03 CHEATING CASES, WITH SAME MODUS OPERANDI.

As per the directions of senior officers, the dedicated PO team of North District, Delhi has been working to gather information about Proclaimed Offenders declared in the cases registered in North District Police Stations by laying their sources in Delhi and other areas of NCR.
On 08.07.2022, HC Puneet Malik of PO team, AATS/North District received secret information through his reliable sources that one Proclaimed Offender namely Pankaj @ Puneet would come to Mori Gate, Delhi to meet someone. If raid is conducted well in time, the offender might be apprehended.
The information was immediately shared with senior officers and as per their directions, a dedicated police team of AATS, North District led by SI Yogender Singh, comprising of HC Puneet Malik and HC Omprakash Dagar, was constituted, under the leadership Inspr. Surender Singh (In-charge, AATS/North) and guidance of Shri Ratan Pal, ACP/Operations, North District. The team proceeded to the place of information to conduct the raid.(SUBHEAD)
As per the directions of senior officers and acting upon the secret information, the dedicated police team laid a strategic trap with the help of technical investigation. The team by showing great sense of responsibility and alertness successfully apprehended the suspect offender in the afternoon from Mori Gate, Delhi on 08.07.2022. The offender/accused was identified as Pankaj @ Puneet, aged-40 years.
On sustained enquiry and checking in police record, the offender Pankaj @ Puneet, aged-40 years was found as a declared Proclaimed Offender (PO) by the Hon'ble Court of Rohtak Haryana, vide order dated 30.03.2016, in a case vide FIR No. 38/15 dated 20.02.2015 u/s 420/467/471/472/120-B IPC, PS Old Subzi Mandi Rohtak, Haryana.
Accordingly, the offender was arrested u/s 41.1 (C) Cr.P.C. at PS Kashmere Gate and investigation was taken up.
Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North District, said, during interrogation, it disclosed that the accused Pankaj @ Puneet has studied up to graduation and he is basically from Delhi. He was working in some reputed Banks as a loan agent. Later on, he met with one Premjit Rai and they both started to cheat the gullible people on the pretext of providing admissions in Medical Institutions as well as to provide Govt. Jobs.
Subsequently, both the accused persons Pankaj @ Puneet and Premjit Rai met with one Deepak r/o Jamal Pur, Rohtak, Haryana and on the pretext of providing Govt. Job by acting as PRO in Delhi, a sum of Rs. 32 lakhs were cheated from him/victim. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 38/15 dated 20.02.2015 u/s 420/467/471/472/120-B IPC was registered at PS Old Subzi Mandi Rohtak, Haryana against them.
The accused/offender Puneet @ Pankaj has a history of involvements in many cheating cases registered in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.
The accused/offender has been produced before the concerned Hon’ble court well in time as per the provisions contained in Criminal Procedure Code.
DETAIL OF OFFENDER: Pankaj @ Puneet r/o Ranibagh, Raja Park, Delhi, age- 40 years. (Previously found involved in 03 cases of Cheating registered in Crime Branch, Delhi, Punjab and Old Subzi Mandi Rohtak Haryana).
