A team of Southern Range Crime Branch has arrested three accused persons namely (1) Kamran @ Arif (21 years) S/o Khurshid R/o H. No. 431, Jatav Mohalla, Tughlakabad Village, New Delhi, (2) Juvenile conflict with law namely XXXX (16 years) R/o Kua Mohalla, Tughlakabad Village, New Delhi, and (3) Jeetu (Receiver) (24 years) S/o Murarilal R/o F-198, Lal Kua, Panchmukhi Mandir, New Delhi, who were wanted in a Murder case registered at P.S Govind Puri, Delhi on 07.08.2022. Weapon of offence and the looted case property was also recovered.
On 07/08/2022, an information regarding “Murder in the area of PS Pul Prahalad Pur was received at 0334 hrs in the South-East District Control Room, from Kite-20A, vide which it was mentioned that a person namely Jakki Mohammad aged 27 years S/o Bhoore R/o ICD Tuglakabad, who was a Truck driver, was admitted in Majidhiya Hospital in an unconscious condition vide MLC No. 333/22, after sustaining stab injuries on his chest caused by someone. He was declared dead during treatment”. The call was also received at Southern Range, Crime Branch, Delhi. A team of Southern Range, Crime Branch under supervision of Inspr. Vijay Pal Dahiya also visited the spot. During spot visit, it was revealed that deceased Jakki Mohd aged 27 years was a truck driver in ICD Tuglukabad. At about 2 AM, he had gone to ease himself near Anandmai Marg, where he was overpowered by four boys and his belongings including mobile phone, purse and other articles were robbed and during the incident he was also stabbed.
One eye witness namely Rashid Ali S/o Sajjak Ali, who is also a driver and works with the deceased in ICD Tuglukabad and is also a relative of the deceased narrated the incident. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 572/22 U/s 394/397/302/34IPC was registered at Police Station Govind puri, Delhi.
Immediately, a team led by Inspr Vijay Pal Dahiya comprising of SI Yogesh Tanwar, SI Anurag Tyagi, HC Arvind, HC Suresh, HC Sonvir, HC Munender, HC Charan Singh and Ct Karanbir was constituted under the supervision of Sh Anil Kumar Sisodia, ACP/Southern Range, Crime Branch, Delhi to nab the accused persons.
Mr. Rajesh Deo, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime-I (SR, WR-II & AEKC), Delhi, said, during search of accused, profiling of accused persons was done on the basis of criminal record and secret informers were also activated. A secret information was received that the accused persons were hiding in the locality of Lal Kua near Okhla, Delhi. A team secretly checked the presence of these suspects, who were found missing from their homes.
Hence, acting upon the information, the team apprehended the accused persons namely (1) Kamran @ Arif S/o Khurshid R/o H. No. 431, Jatav Mohalla, Tughlakabad Village, New Delhi, age 21 years, (2) Juvenile XXXX R/o Kua Mohalla, Tughlakabad Village, New Delhi, age 16 years. Both were interrogated at length and they confessed their involvement in the crime. Kamran @ Arif revealed that in the intervening night of 06/07.08.2022 at around 2:00 am, he along with Ahsaan, Ahsaan’s younger brother XXXX (JCL) and Bobby were roaming in the area, looking for a prey near Tughalakabad Village. In the meantime, they saw one truck driver who stopped his truck for urinating. They caught hold of the truck driver and snatched one mobile phone & wallet from him and when the victim protested; Kamran stabbed him 3-4 times, which subsequently resulted into his death. Thereafter, all the accused persons fled away from the spot.
Ahe accused persons sold the looted mobile phone to one Jeetu, who resides somewhere in Pul Prahlad Pur and is a habitual receiver of stolen/snatched articles. Accused Kamran @ Arif disclosed that the weapon of crime i.e knife used for stabbing was lying at his house. Accordingly, a team raided at the residence of Kamran @ Arif and at his instance, recovered a knife, used for committing the crime.
Further, information was developed to apprehend accused Jeetu. It was revealed that Jeetu is a BC of P.S Pul Prahlad Pur and involved in more than 15 cases of theft, robbery Arms Act etc. Jeetu S/o Murarilal R/o F-198, Lal Kua, Panchmukhi Mandir, New Delhi age 24 years was also apprehended by the team and acting upon the lead, the looted mobile of the deceased was also recovered.
