Acting on the directions of senior officers to curb the illegal activities staff of PS Gulabi Bagh, North District has been developing information through local sources about the illegal activities in the area of North District.
On 28.08.2022, secret information was received by SI Bodan Lal of PS Gulabi Bagh that a group of people usually plays Satta at a Shop of L/M-Block, Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, if raid is conducted well in time, they might be apprehended and huge amount of stake money can be recovered. The information was conveyed to the senior officers.
As per the directions of senior officers, a dedicated police team led by Inspr. Rajesh Kumar (Inspr. Investigation) comprising SI Bodan Lal, HC Satyapal, HC Mukesh, HC Shiv Kumar and W/Ct Mamta was constituted to conduct raid at the place of information, under the close supervision of Inspr. Samar Singh, SHO/PS Gulabi Bagh and guidance of Shri Prashant Chaudhary, ACP/Sarai Rohilla.
Immediately, the above said police team swung into action and confirmed the secret information. The team after due legal formality raided the gambling den i.e. Shop of L-Block Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi wherein 06 persons including the kingpin Natha Ram were found gambling.
The police apprehended all the 06 gamblers and recovered Stake Money of Rs. 14, 66,020/- cash, Written Satta Parchi-4000-5000, Blank Pad -750 (750×100= 75000), 05 Registers, 03 Calculators and Carbon Paper used for gambling, 240 quarters/29 bottles of illicit liquor and 06 Mobile Phones.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 257/22, dated 28.08.2022, u/s 3/4/9/55 Delhi Public Gambling Act & 33/38 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS Gulabi Bagh and investigation was taken up.

1. Natha Ram Malhotra r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age- 60 years. (He is kingpin and organizer of the Satta. He used to choose lonely places in the area for conducting the Satta. He was previously involved in 03 crimnal cases:
• FIR No 33/2007, u/s 160IPC PS Gulabi Bagh
• FIR No 07/2018, U/s 12/9/55 Delhi Gambling Act PS Gulabi Bagh
• FIR No 183/2007, U/s 325/308/34 IPC PS Gulabi Gagh
2. Balbir r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age- 40 years. Previously involved in case FIR No 245/2021, u/s 12/09/55 Delhi Gambling Act, PS Gulabi Bagh
3. Sunil Bajaj r/o Majlis Park, Delhi, age- 51 years.
4. Ramesh r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age- 65 years
5. Hunny r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age- 32 years.
6. Anil Kumar r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age- 32 years.
