The second day of PECFEST 2026 : A Mystic Mikado at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, (Deemed to be University), offered something for everyone, from technical contests and startup pitches to literary challenges and live music.

The technical segment saw enthusiastic participation from students across institutions. The Cricket Ground hosted the robotics events, beginning with Robo-Reach and followed by Robo Race, Theta Shift and Line Follower. At the Athletic Ground, Aero Modelling Round II and the Drone Rescue challenge tested participants’ design and flying skills. Code Wars, Zero Code, ElectroQuest, Link Odyssey and The Silicon Social drew coders and electronics enthusiasts.

A key highlight of the day was the Startup Showcase, organised by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (EIC) at the Cricket Ground.

The Auditorium hosted the day’s performing arts programme. The Dramatics Club opened with a Stage Play, followed by Ikhtiyaar: Beauty Beyond Boundaries, an event by the Women Empowerment Cell that explored themes of identity, confidence and empowerment.

Literary and intellectual events also drew strong participation. The Hindi Editorial Board presented Bazm-e-Shayari, a celebration of poetry, while the Punjabi Editorial Board hosted Punjab de Panne, a literature quiz on Punjabi literary heritage. The English Editorial Board conducted Twist a Script and Wordict, which tested creativity, vocabulary, and command of language. The Turncoat Debate and The Mock Poll offered students hands-on experience of argument and the democratic process. At the same time, the General Quiz and Speed Cubing Tournament added to the intellectual line-up.

Creative zones across the campus kept visitors engaged with Palette Party, Carmina Calliope, Kalpa Kriti, Liber Vertos, Heart It Out, Express Expo and Inbox, alongside games such as Minute to Win It, Serpent’s Climb, Shoot or Spill, Spin It! and What’s in the Cup? The Period Pain Simulator offered an awareness-driven experience. The Projection and Design Club hosted Bit Brush, the Art and Photography Club conducted the Pouch Design Contest, and Capture the Fest roamed the campus, documenting the festivities.

The cultural programme began with Bhangra Wars at the Fun Stage and continued with Mizaaj on the Main Stage. Glitterati followed, with seven teams showcasing their performances. DJ FJ Ravator then took over the Main Stage to close the day with an EDM Night.

With a programme spanning technology, entrepreneurship, literature, art and music, Day 2 of PECFEST 2026 reflected the talent and teamwork of PEC’s student community and the spirit of campus life.
