ADMINISTRATION GEAR-UP TO TACKLE THE ISSUE OF STUBBLE BURNING

Deputy Commissioner Amrit Singh today issued strict warning to the persons violating the directions issued by the government of India regarding stubble burning. In the meeting, The DC issued directions to the SDM to keep check on the incidents of stubble burning.

The SDM was told to lodge FIR as well as make Red entry into the record of the violators. The DC also directed the ADC G Sachin Setia not to issue license to the person violating the order of the government regarding the stubble burning and also get the weapon licenses of the violator cancelled in case of report by SDMs.

Deputy Commissioner directed ADC (D) Arun Sharma to oversee proper coordination between Agriculture Department, Department of cooperative societies and Department of revenue to curb the incident of stubble burning.

Moreover, directions were issued to SSP, Ferozepur Surinder Lamba to take strict action against the violator according to law and as per orders issued by the District Magistrate.
