SRIRAM AND JEEVAN BEGAN WITH A BANG IN PARMA CHALLENGER, ITALY

ITALY,: N.Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan of India began their campaign with an authoritative 7-6(4), 6-1 win over Italian pair of Davide Pozzi and Alexander Weis in the doubles first round of the € 134,920 Parma Challenger, Italy.

The match lasted one hour and 15 minutes. In the sixth game Balaji and Nedunchezhiyan won the point on the second serve of Davide Pozzi. With this break Balaji and Nedunchezhiyan took a commanding 5-1 lead and went on to wrap up the match and the second set by 6-1.

Balaji and Nedunchezhiyan won 80 per cent points (28/35) on first serve and 72 per cent (18/25) on second serve. They saved all three break points.

In comparison Davide and Alexander won 76 per cent points (32/42) on first serve and 31 per cent (5/16) on second serve. They saved six out eight breakpoints.
