RAJA AND SHARAN MOVE INTO DOUBLES SEMIS IN FRANCE

(MOREPIC1)  FRANCE: Purav Raja and Divij Sharan moved into the doubles semi-final after beating giant killers Kynan Jacquet and Clement Tabur of France in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 in the € 67,960 Open de Vendee, Mouilleron le Captif, France. The match lasted one hour and 11 minutes.

Raja and Sharan won 66 percent points (19/29) on first serve and 65 percent on second serve (17/26). They committed three double faults and saved nine out of nine breakpoints. In comparison Kynan and Clement won 61 percent points (19/31) on first serve and 42 per cent (5/12) on second serve. They saved three out of six breakpoints.

Runners-up in Indy Challenger Raja and Sharan will cross swords with Theo Arribage of France and Luke Johnson of Great Britain in the semi-final. Theo Arribage and Luke Johnson defeated Sem Verbeek of Netherland and Szymon Walkow of Poland 2-6, 6-3, 10-4.

SIDDHANT ADVANCES IN DOUBLES: Siddhant Banitha, pairing with Carl Emil Overbeck overcame a stiff resistance from American pair of Denis Kudia and Ben Shelton 5-7, 7-6 (4), 11-9 in the doubles round of 16 in the $53,120 Tiburon Challenger, United States.
