TWO-DAY 9TH GTA CUP OPEN NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP BEGINS

A two day 9th GTA Cup Open National Taekwondo Championship being organized by Emerald Martial Arts at the Gymnasium Hall of Panjab University, Sector 14 took off here today. 

The championship is being held under the leadership of 5th Dan Black Belt Master Shiv Raj Gharti and 2nd Dan Black Belt Kavita Rai in which players from 2 to 30 age groups of different age groups are taking part. 

The championship is being held in 3 categories which include Koryo, Poomsae, Speed Kicking, in which the players displayed their talent. Another competition of Challenge Cup was also organized under the championship. 

The head of Emerald Martial Arts Academy and the organizer of the championship, 5th Dan Black Belt Master Shiv Raj Gharti and 2nd Dan Black Belt Kavita Rai said that for the last 8 years they have been organizing such grand championships in the tricity. 

He informed that in the 9th GTA Cup Taekwondo Championship, more than 800 players from different states across the country are participating. Master Shiv Raj Gharti said players from different states of the country are participating in the championship.
