Having been on a roller-coaster ride so far in Season nine of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), UP Yoddhas –the GMR owned franchisee representing the state of Uttar Pradesh, are geared up for the Telugu Titans challenge in search of their fourth win at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi.

(MOREPIC1)The UP Yoddhas, who went down narrowly in their previous game are placed ninth in the standings with 19 points in their kitty, whereas the Telugu Titans with a solitary win and seven points, are at 12th on the table. The match between UP Yoddhas and Telugu Titans will be broadcast LIVE on the Star Sports Network and can be streamed LIVE on Disney Hotstar from 08:30 p.m. (IST) on 31st October, 2022 (Monday).

UP Yoddhas have easily dominated Telugu Titans in head-to-head contests across all editions of the PKL. They have won six games out of 10, with two matches ending in ties, reflecting the dominance they have had over their opponents.

“We haven’t been upto mark in our last few matches and some unforced errors have kept us away from victory. We have learnt from our past mistakes and as a team we are working on them. I’m pretty sure we will bounce back in our next clash and find our winning ways from here, as the team is working very hard in the practice sessions”, said Jasveer Singh, Head Coach, UP Yoddhas.

Pardeep Narwal who emerged as the highest point earner in the last game, had a five-point Super Raid on his opponents in that game and is currently placed third on the Super Raids table. He could be a possible threat for the Telugu Titans.

Surender Gill looks forward to regain his energy and would also like to carry the UP Yoddhas as he did in the early games of the season. The defense of UP Yoddhas will also have the responsibility to minimize errors and tackle opponents in their traditional way as Ashu Singh, Sumit and Nitesh, given their stats and performances in PKL Season nine, look to be more effective.
