CHANDIGARH POLICE ORGANISED FIRST DOUBLES BADMINTOR TOURNAMENT

1st Chandigarh Police Doubles Badminton Tournament was organized at Sports Complex Sector-7, Chandigarh in Senior mostly above 40 years and Junior mostly below 40 years of age from the rank of Constable to DSP at Badminton court at 7.00AM onwards on Saturday.
The initiative was taken by by Sh. Ramgopal, DSP/CID, Chandigarh with the permission of seniors to boost the morale of force. 6 teams consisting 12 players were made through lucky draw between upper and lower age in Senior and Junior categories and total 24 members played this tournament. Whereas DSP Palak and DSP Nyati Mittal were also played friendly match.
Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP, UT, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest and presented trophies to the winners and boost the moral of the players and force in general. MsShruti Arora, IPS, SP/City was also present in the event,
Sh. RamGopal, DSP/CID and HC Mukesh were the winner in the senior category. Insp. Sukhdeep and HC Pawan Kumar were runner-up in the senior category in the said tournament as well as Constable Bhudev and constable Naveen were Winner in the Junior category. Constable Pardeep and constable Amandeep were Runner-up in the junior category.
The tournament is a part of the constant endeavor of Chandigarh Police to motivate the police officials about sports activities.
