Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of Police Station Sector-39, Sub-Division South West, arrested an accused Vijay Kumar @ Bittu S/o Sh. Arjun Shah R/o # 39, Village Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh age 19 years and worked out a case of snatching by recovering a snatched mobile phone and 03 other mobile phones and one auto rickshaw in case FIR No. 207 dated 15.12.2022 U/S 379-A, 34 IPC added 411 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh.
It was reported that on 14.12.2022 at about 8:00 PM, the complainant Pahalwan S/o Lt. Het Bahadur R/o # 2210, Bhaskar Colony, Sector-25, Chandigarh was going towards Furniture Market, Sector-54 to Phase-III Mohali (PB) and when he was near Slip Road, Sector-54, in the meantime two unknown younger boys snatched his mobile phone make Realme C 15 and fled away from the spot on auto rickshaw.(SUBHEAD)
On the Directions of W/SSP Ms. Manisha Choudhary, IPS under the supervision of Ms. Shruti Arora, IPS, SP City, Chandigarh and Sh Mridul, IPS, SDPO/South West, a team was constituted comprising of Inspector/SHO Eram Rizvi, SI Daljeet Singh 1061/CHG I/C PP Palsora, ASI Sukhdev Singh 339/CP, C Sunil Kumar Yadav 4999/CP, C Vidyanand 6248/CP, Ct. Ramesh Kumar No. 6234/CP, Vol Astik Rana 593/HGV and Vol Monu No. 833/HGV.
During the course of investigation, the above said snatching case was cracked and nabbed the accused from Sector-54, Chandigarh on secret information. Thereafter, accused Vijay Kumar @ Bittu S/o Sh. Arjun Shah R/o # 39, Village Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh age 19 years has been arrested on 06.01.2023 and one auto rickshaw bearing Registration No. PB65AK-2724 used in snatching along with snatched mobile phone make Realme C 15 have been recovered from accused.
Thereafter, 03 other smart mobile phones (make Itel, Redmi, Vivo) those are snatched by accused person from the different areas of Chandigarh have also been recovered and the same are taken into police possession U/s 102 Cr.P.C. accordingly. The accused Vijay Kumar @ Bittu has a criminal history as case FIR No. 51 Dated 08.04.2021 U/s 399,402 IPC and 25-54-59 Arms Act PS- Phase VIII (PB) has also reported against him.
