Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, an Non Government Organization(NGO), held its 41st Bhandara – Community Kitchen. The community kitchen was organised in Industrial Area, Phase 2, Panchkula, in which hundreds of working class people and needy families from the surrounding areas had food.

Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation's sevadar, Amitabh Rungta along with his family members participated in the Bhandara. On this occasion, Rungta said, “It is winter and in this biting cold it becomes very difficult for families who do not have enough food and clothes. We want that no one sleeps hungry in this winter season because of lack of resources. To help the underprivileged people, food is distributed regularly every week through Bhandara.” Rungta added, “According to me helping the needy is the biggest religion.”

Rungta's family members contributed to the distribution of food from a special Bhandara van. Those who took active part in distributing food included Anupama Rungta, Chaitanya Rungta, Pragati Rungta, Deepali Rungta, Sukhpal Singh, Himanshu, Mohan and Nidhi.
