HEALTH SECRETARY YASHPAL GARG INAUGURATES THE MRI SCAN CENTRE AT GMSH-16

Sh. Yashpal Garg, IAS, Secretary Health, U.T., Chandigarh inaugurated the MRI Scan Centre at GMSH-16 on 10.01.2023 in the presence of Dr. Suman Singh, Director Health Services, U.T., Chandigarh, Dr. V.K. Nagpal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Parmjit Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent, senior officials of the Health department and representatives of M/s Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd.

(MOREPIC1)Government Multi-specialty Hospital Sector-16, Chandigarh is a 500 bedded hospital which provides indoor and outdoor facilities to the residents of U.T., Chandigarh having population of 12 lakhs and also to the residents of Panchkula and Mohali.(SUBHEAD)

The patients attending the OPD’s and those admitted in the Hospital require advance diagnostic services like MRI for which the Health Department had floated a tender to operate the services under Public Private Partnership Mode (PPP). After due tender process this project was allotted to M/s Krsnaa Diagnostic Ltd.

The Secretary Health informed that this MRI scan centre facility would be available round the clock to not only the patients of this hospital but also to the ones referred from other Govt. hospitals and private health facilities.

The MRI Scan Centre was previously operational at GMSH-16 since 2011 on PPP mode through different agency and that contract was already over last year.
