CHANDIGARH MAYOR ANUP GUPTA ADDRESSES INDUSTRY CONCERNS

At the CII Chandigarh State Council Meeting held today, Mr Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation interacted with leading industrialists and lent his support to work towards a progressive, smart Chandigarh for a thriving business ecosystem. 

Sharing his vision for Chandigarh, Mr Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation said, “There are multiple aspects that the MC can cater to, since departments such as cleanliness, horticulture, fire, etc. come under its ambit. Our priority will be looking at civic amenities, which will encompass enhancing infrastructure for the industry as well.” (SUBHEAD)

He also hinted at initiating a conversation with the Administration about the possibility of a Convention Centre in Chandigarh which will help exhibitors and brands to showcase their products in the Northern Region. 

Further into the interaction, industrialists suggested solutions for enhancing EoDB in the city to improve the nationwide ranking. Increasing the FAR rate to become competitive as in the case of Haryana, signing an MoU with Smart City to lend industrial expertise, utilising CII's Indian Green Business Council for building & construction expertise in town planning, etc. were some of the top suggestive action points.
