FIRST CONVOCATION OF BIKANER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY HELD

The first convocation ceremony of Bikaner Technical University was held under the chairmanship of Governor and Chancellor Kalraj Mishra. Prof. Krishan Kishore Aggarwal, President, National Board of Accreditation(NBA) and Founder Vice-Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi was the chief guest.

On this occasion, the statue of Swami Vivekananda installed in the university campus was unveiled, “Shila Pooja” forthe hostel building was laid and the university canteen was also inaugurated.

A total of 2182 degrees including B. Tech 1481, B. Tech (Hons) 16, MBA 576, MCA 101, M. Tech 7, Ph.D 1 were awarded during the convocation. Gold medal recipients were B.Tech 14, MBA 2, MCA 1 courses. Arvind Kumar, a student of Engineering College, Bikaner, was awarded the PhD degree, Prof. K.K. Aggarwal was awarded the degree of D.Sc.

Addressing the convocation virtually, Governor Kalraj Mishra wished all the students who received degrees and medals a bright future. He said that the convocation ceremony is the announcement of getting formal education and the festival of new life entry of the students.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ambrish Sharan Vidyarthi, in his welcome address and progress report said that since the establishment of the University, we have been able to attract talented and dedicated researchers and teachers from different states of India.

Chief Guest Prof. Krishna Kishore Aggarwal, President NBA, in his convocation speech, emphasized on the skill development of the students to become a good engineer and a good citizen.

Registrar Ashok Sangwan thanked the dignitaries and other guests.
