SANJEEV WINS 3 MEDALS IN NATIONAL PARA BADMINTON

Sanjeev Kumar of Telupura (Abohar) village has won 3 medals in the fifth para-badminton championship, held at Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University's Vishisht Stadium in Lucknow. As many as 30 players had come from different parts of the country.

Sanjeev won the gold medal in the men's singles event (DBU H2 category). He recorded a margin of 21-15, 21-18. In the men's doubles event, he won a silver medal with UP's Shanshank Kumar, and in the mixed doubles, he won a bronze medal with his Uttarakhand partner Neeraj Goyal.

The son of a class iii retired govt employee, has so far won 19 national gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. While at the international competitions, he has won 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 9 bronze medals. He is recipient of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Award 2019 and State Award 2009 from Punjab Government.

Fazilka DC Dr. Senu Duggal and MLA Sandeep Jakhar congratulated Sanjeev on this achievement.
