In a tragic incident, a female police constable died in a road accident which took place at Zira-Ferozepur road near Village Sande Hasham on Friday afternoon.
As per information, the deceased police constable Kulwinder Kaur was going towards Zira from Ferozepur side on his I-20 car (PB 47 F 0100). As soon as she reached near Village Sande Hasham, her car was hit by a truck (PB 05 A B 4018) which was coming from opposite direction.
The impact proved fatal and Kulwinder died on the spot.
As soon as the matter was reported, officials from Kulgarhi police station reached the spot. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck fled from the spot. However, the truck had been impounded by the police.
