Sector 17 Police Station reported regsitered a case FIR No. 42, U/S 406, 420, 120B IPC on the complaint of Punjab & Sindh Bank regarding cheating the tune of Rs. 1.67 crores with Bank.
Police said, the case was registered on the complaint of Parveen Kumar Mongia, General Manager, Punjab & Sind Bank, Sector-17, Chandigarh against Harkirat Singh Sandhu R/o H. No. 20340 Street No. 13, Guruteg Bahadur Nagar, Bhatinda (Punjab) and others who availed Cash Ceredit (CC ) and term loans of Rs 1.67 crores from the bank vide sanction letter dated 20.03.2020 on the basis of already mortgaged properties (i.e. at Giddarbaha, Sri Muktsar Sahib, PB) in another banks and also failed to pay the EMIS of the bank and then got NPA.
No arrest has been made so far and investigation of the case is in progress.
